An awareness campaign, partnering up with Disability Rights New York (DRNY) to raise awareness and money to build accessible platforms in NYC subway stations. New York City has 472 subway stations, where only 29% (135 stations) are accessible to some extent. Even if these stations are accessible, some of the train lines are not accessible.

People of ages 26-35 in New York City who are able bodied who take public transportation. They commute through the subway to get to work, school or to get to any place. They are socially aware about issues but are not proactive on taking action because they don’t know how to.

Ad Campaign 1
Displaying the commute time and directions taken by the subway by an able-bodied person in comparison to a person on a wheelchair. The intention is to evoke a personal reflection regarding this everyday struggle.
Ad Campaign 2
A guerilla campaign that is intentionally situated in NYC subway stations to ironically make a statement able bodied people about the issue of barriers people with disabilities face when getting to a place.
